UT writes to Centre on bonus
Tribune News Service

Chandigarh, September 5
The Chandigarh Administration has once again written to the Government of India saying bonus must be paid to UT employees.

The issue needs to be delinked from Punjab pay scales as Punjab was a fund starved state while no such exigency prevails in Chandigarh Administration.

Since Chandigarh follows the Punjab pattern of pay scales bonus cannot be paid till Punjab pays bonus. The employees have been demanding that bonus needs to be given for a good performance. In Chandigarh, almost all departments are generating more revenue than the expenses.
