Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported from many places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Jhajjar 2 and Jatusana 1, Himachal Pradesh: Bharwain 5, Guler 3 and Dharamsala and Nagrota Surian 1 each, Punjab: Nangal 1, east Uttar Pradesh: Ankinghat and Chillaghat 6 each, Dalmau 5, Kanpur, Allahabad, Banda and Balrampur 3 each, Elginbridge, Kakardharighat and Lucknow AP 2 each and Bhatpurwaghat, Ghazipur, Katerniaghat, Palliakalan and Raebareli 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh Bareilly and Mohana 3 each, Hamirpur and Shahjina 2 each and Auraiya and Jhansi 1 each and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 10, Hardwar and Morara 2 each and Dehra Dun 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 23: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 23: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas.
