Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Rajasthan, at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Nilokheri 4 and Panipat 2, Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi, Kasol, Kandaghat, Solangnala and Sundernagar 3 each, Bhang and Dharamsala 2 each and Ghamroor, Kangra, Nahan, Shimla, Sandhole and Sujanpurtira 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Quazigund 2, east Rajasthan: Reni 6, Kotri and Mandalgarh 5 each, Arwar, Bhilwara, Banera, Chandra Bhaga, Maiza Dam, Patan, Uchain and Virat Nagar 2 each and Agucha, Jhalar Patan, Laxmangarh, Panchana Dam, Raipur, Rawat Bhata, Rajgarh, Snel, Thanagazi and Udaipur AP 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Varanasi City 1 and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 2 and Marora 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 9: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in west Rajasthan.
