taken to Rohtak for last rites Ambala, May 10 Palarwal had died on the spot when his Jaguar crashed on the runway while taking off. The Jaguar belonged to the Squadron 14 of the
IAF. The late Flying Officer was given adieu with full honour by the officers and men at the Air Force station here.

A few of Palwarwal’s colleagues and officers were seen consoling the grief-stricken family. With tears rolling down their cheeks, the father and mother recalled how Parlariwal had visited them last Sunday to discuss a matrimonial proposal with a Bhiwani girl. “When he left for his duty on Monday with a promise to come back soon, little did we realise that that was his last visit,” bemoaned Mrs Susheela Devi a teacher by profession. She recalled how her 26-year-old son was fond of aeroplanes from the childhood and often played “pilot” with his friends in the village.

Stephenian, Palarwal qualified for the NDA in 1994 and was commissioned in the IAF in 1998.

Forgery
case against clerk Yamunanagar, May 10 A case under Sections 420, 467, 468 and 478 of the IPC was registered at Jagadhri police station. Mr Braham Parkash, arms licence clerk, was working in the office of the SDM Mrs Renu
Phulia. She had complained to the Deputy Commissioner, Yamunanagar, Mr Rajiv Sharma, that Braham Parkash renewed arms licences himself by forging her signatures. It so happened that when Mrs Phulia was signing arms licence register of the district she suspected that her signatures on the arms licences number 2844 of Mr Harbhajan Singh son of Gurditta Ram of Jagadhri were at variance with her usual signatures. She checked five more licence numbers 2496, 2532, 2574 and 2834 which confirmed her suspicion that some one had renewed those licences by forging signature on them. She summoned Braham Parkash who initially denied having any knowledge but later on interrogation admitted that he had forged her signatures and had renewed the licences himself. His statement to this affect was recorded before Tehsildar,
Jagadhri, wherein he sought pardon. In a press release by the district Public Relation Department here it was revealed that it was essential to get the antecedents of licences verified by Braham Parkash. |
