Bomb blast
Kathmandu, April 26
A bomb exploded near King Gyanendra’s private home injuring four persons including a child, in Nepal where a bomb was defused in the vicinity of the Royal Palace and the US Embassy. PTI

Ex-Dy Speaker evicted
Chennai, April 26
Former Deputy Speaker and DMK leader Parithi Ilamvazhuthi was today evicted from the Tamil Nadu Assembly and suspended for the rest of the session for picking up a quarrel with Speaker K. Kalimuthu. The Speaker, who repeatedly warned Mr Ilamvazhuthi for making abusive remarks, ordered his eviction and suspension on a motion moved by Leader of the House C. Ponnaiyan. UNI

LJP leader arrested
Patna, April 26
Lok Janshakti Party’s (LJP) spokesman Sanjay Singh was arrested here today on the charge of kidnapping a 15-year-old and subsequently released when the boy refused to identify him as the kidnapper. PTI
