'@crOSS' and 'ZipRate' unveils

Lifetree Convergence Ltd. released @crOSS (a usage-based billing solution) and ZipRate (an event-based billing and revenue sharing solution) at 3GSM World Congress, Cannes 2002. The congress is an annual event for all IT and telecom companies where companies from world over showcase their products and new offerings.

'@crOSS' is a complete business operations support system (BOSS), supporting all key business processes in a multi-service environment that includes GSM, Wireline, Voice, IP, Broadband and WLL offerings.

'ZipRate' assists service providers in rapid rollout of emergent communication services with attractive revenue sharing opportunities. It generates revenue from the Internet, content and IP based services, without replacing existing billing systems. It has the flexibility to use events as a basis for rule activation. It is a highly configurable application capable of generating CDR and charge for any type of event.

 


Oracle for TI

Tube Investments Ltd. (TI), a part of the Rs 3,500 Crore Murugappa Group and a market leader in steel strips, steel tubes, bicycles, chains and cold roll formed products has implemented the Oracle11i E-Business Suite for better planning and inventory control while moving from an administrative model to a self-service model. TI also had to balance a complex equation that allows them to manage inventories of parts to the lowest possible levels, maintain a lower on-hand stock of finished products and still be able to meet order dates as committed to customers.

E-learning project

Boston Software Consultants India Pvt Ltd., Hyderabad, has bagged a major e-learning order from Asia's first and the largest Computer University, AMA Computer University in Manila, Philippines.Boston Software Consultants will implement their flagship product Intralearn XE for this university. This is the largest e-learning order for Boston Software in Asia as far as the number of users is concerned. AMA University has a student population of around 1,50,000 users and 200 campuses in the Philippines and other parts of the world.Mr Vinod K. Samantula, Country Manager, says: "This is the largest e-learning order for us in Asia. This breaks all barriers through technology, we are implementing our Intralearn XE with 20 ports with a population of 1,50,000 students. We are proud to associate with the first and the largest computer university in Asia and have proved ourselves as one of the largest e-learning service provides in this country and the world."

Best Performance Processor

AMD AthlonTM XP processor 1800+ has received the best performance award from the Jasubhai Digital Media Test & Research Centre. This recognition was conferred after a comprehensive comparison involving seven AMD processors and eight competing processors. The 1.1GHz AMD DuronTM processor was also nominated as the Best Value processor by the magazine. "The award is a validation of the performance supremacy of our AMD AthlonTM XP processor," said Mr Sanjeev Keskar, Country Manager for India, AMD Far East Limited.
