Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably below normal in Punjab and Uttaranchal, below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in east Uttar Pradesh.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 2.6°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of January 31: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 31: Mainly clear sky. Fog in the morning. Chilly winds to continue during day time. Minimum temperature will be around 7°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of January 31: Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
