Computer classes in govt schools soon New Delhi, January 28 IEC Software Ltd has bagged a contract from the Delhi Government for providing computer education in its schools. In a statement here today, IEC said the turnkey contract was around Rs 4.5 crore and it was the second phase contract which would cover the single and double-shift schools in Delhi. The IT education company will provide state-of-the-art training facilities for students under the Delhi Government’s computer education programme (CEP). As per the contract, IEC will provide hardware, software and accessories, besides study materials and teaching facility, the statement said, adding training will cover classes VI to VIII apart from IX to XII for which the training will be as per the CBSE norms. The students would be taught computer fundamentals and IT basics, operating systems comprising DOS, Windows and Window Accessories, MS Office, HTML, Data Base Management System, Fox Pro and the object oriented language C++. The company has been implementing IT education projects for school students in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. |
