Departures: They were appreciably below normal in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.6°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab). Forecast valid until the morning of January 6: Weather will be dry over the region.
