BSF kills intruder
Amritsar, December 31
An unidentified intruder from across the border was shot dead by a Border Security Force (BSF) patrol party near the border outpost of Pul Kanjeri in Attari sector of this district last night, official sources said here today. An official spokesman said, taking advantage of the night fog, two intruders sneaked into the Indian territory. On noticing them, the BSF patrol party opened fire killing one while the other fled back across the border. This is the second such incident in the past week when an intruder was shot near the Naushera Dhalla border post. Ever since the Army moved to the forward posts, four Bangladeshi nationals trying to sneak into Pakistan had also been apprehended. While two were apprehended in Gurdaspur sector, the other two were caught in Attari sector. UNI
