Panic in Haldia Refinery
Haldia (WB), September 21
A Hindi-speaking hoax caller on Friday, rang up the Indian Oil Corporation’s Haldia Refinery warning that a bomb had been planted in an empty oil tanker, sending scores of security personnel scurrying to check vehicles assisted by sniffer dogs. The caller, who spoke ‘very politely in Hindi’ rang up the marketing division of the refinery at 10.10 am, Additional District Magistrate Debabrata Pal said. PTI
