Monsoon has been active in Uttaranchal.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Punjab. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Himachal Pradesh: Kangra 6, Bharwain, Guler, Kasol and Nagrotasurian 3 each and Berthin and Kahu 2 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Srinagar 3 and Pahalgam 1, Punjab: Nawashahr 2 and Balachaur and Nangal 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Mirzapur 8, Ayodhya, Bansi and Balrampur 4 each, Kakrahi and Palliakalan 3 each, ankinghat and Varanasi AP 2 each and Ghazipur and Regoli 1 each and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun 9, Uttarkashi 4, Rudraprayag 3, Haripur, Marora and Pantnagar 2 each and Hardwar and Mukteshwar 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 2: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and east Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan.
