Monsoon has been vigorous in Haryana (including Chandigarh and Delhi), Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttaranchal and active in east Rajasthan.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at many places in Punjab and east Rajasthan, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain is likely at a few places with isolated very heavy falls in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours. Heavy rain is also likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh during the same period.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 16: Overcast sky with a few spells of rain/thundershowers, one or two may be heavy in some areas.
