Major quake in Shillong predicted
Shillong, July 24
A German scientist has predicted a major earthquake in the Shillong plateau within the next decade. The Science Counsellor at the German Embassy in Delhi Mr Helmut Luders, in a signed article published in German News, said there was a high probability of an earthquake in the region but “it is absolutely impossible to predict an exact date or the epicentre’’.
