China executes 6 gang members
Beijing, June 29
Six persons have been executed in northern China’s Inner Mongolia region after being found guilty in one of the worst cases of trafficking in women in modern Chinese history, the state media said today. The six were part of a 12-member gang who abducted and sold 118 women in the period from 1992 until early last year, making a total of about 600,000 yuan ($ 72,000), the Xinhua news agency reported.
