Conditions are becoming favourable for further advance of monsoon into the remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and in Delhi during the next two days.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Julana 4, Rewari 2 and Rohtak 1, Himachal Pradesh: Bangana 4, Barsar 2 and Nadaun 1, Punjab: Gurdaspur 1, Uttar Pradesh: Gorakhpur 2 and Allahabad, Sultanpur and Varanasi 1 each and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. 

Departures: They were appreciably below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, below normal in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in Himachal Pradesh. The highest temperature in the region was 41.3°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 23: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in west Rajasthan.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of June 23: Light to mederate rain will occur at many places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
