New Delhi, June 4
Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, at many places in Uttaranchal, at a few places in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rain fall in cm are: Haryana: Thanesar 1, Himachal Pradesh: Sunibhaji 9, Rajgarh 8, Dharampur 7, Sundernagar 6, Ghamroor 3, Barsar, Berthin, Kasol, Pandoh, Paonta, Shimla and Una 2 each and Bangana, Ghumarwin, Kahu, Kasauli, Nadaun and Sujanpur Tira 1 each, Punjab: Nawanshahr 3, Gurdaspur 2 and Nangal 1, Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly 5 and Sultanpur 3 and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar 6 and Dehra Dun 1.

Temperature: past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were largely below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, markedly below normal in West Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, below normal in Haryana and Punjab, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 42.5°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of the June 6: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and East Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, East Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in West Rajasthan. Thundersqualls are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, East Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 6: Partly cloudy sky and light rain accompanied with squall in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 38°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of June 6: Light rain will occur at many places. Squalls with wind speed exceeding 65 km per hour are likely at isolated places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
