Seven sailors went missing today when Tamil Sea Tigers attacked two Sri Lankan navy boats and sank one of them off Mullaittivu coast, about 250 km northeast of here. ANI

Chamling backs Gorkhaland demand
Gangtok, March 21 
Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling has supported the GNLF’s demand for a separate state of “Gorkhaland” in neighbouring Darjeeling Hills of West Bengal. “Let the Gorkhas of Darjeeling get their Gorkhaland. Their demand is just in principle and constitutional,” Mr Chamling, said here on Tuesday. PTI

12 die in accident
Banglore, March 21
Twelve persons, including nine women and a child, were killed and more than 30 others injured in a collision between trucks on NH-13 in Bijapur district of Karnataka on Wednesday morning. According to information received by the police here, a truck carrying a marriage party collided with a goods-laden lorry between Zalki and Horatti. Nine died on the spot while three succumbed to their injuries on the way to the Bijapur district hospital. UNI
