Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh, above normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.7°C recorded at Amritsar in Punjab.

Forecast valid until the morning of March 1: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
