Rainfall: Rain or snowfall has occured at many places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers have occured at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell markedly in Uttaranchal, east Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and west Uttar Pradesh, rose in Jammu and Kashmir.

Departures: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 7° C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of 18th: Rain or snowfall will occur at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of 18th: Partly cloudy sky. Mist in the morning. No significant change in minimum temperature.
