NEW DELHI, Jan 3 — Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of snowfall in cm are : Jammu and Kashmir: Kanalwan 2 and Zedgali 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Uttaranchal, fell in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little eleswhere.

Departures: They were above normal in west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.6 °C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab) and Nal (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 5: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 5 : Hazy sky. Cold day. Fog during night and morning. No significant change in minimum temperature.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of January 5: Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
