Naidu shoots protest letter to PM

Hyderabad, Dec 18 — The Telugu Desam Party has threatened to withdraw support to the Prime Minister, Mr Atal Behari Vajpayee’s government, for its alleged lack of response to the plight of farmers in the state.

NEW DELHI, Dec 18 — Members of the Telugu Desam Party today stalled proceedings in the Lok Sabha claiming that the Centre had done nothing for Andhra Pradesh farmers.

Mamata threatens to form separate block
CALCUTTA, Dec 18 — Railway Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee today threatened to form a separate block within the National Democratic Alliance to force the BJP to adhere to the NDA agenda on the Ayodhya issue.

WAGAH, Dec 18 — The two Indian prisoners, Kharaiti Lal and Bhogal Ram, repatriated by Pakistan while narrating harrowing experiences there said hundreds of Indians were languishing in various jails of Pakistan even after completion of their sentence.

ROHTAK, Dec 18 — The Special Judge, Mr Shiva Sharma, today extended the judicial remand of former Revenue Minister, Mr Anand Singh Dangi, pending investigation and directed that he should be produced in the court on January 1.
