LUDHIANA, Nov 28 — The situation arising from the directions handed down by the Punjab and Haryana High Court to the Punjab Government against medical practice by unqualified practitioners in the state, took an ugly turn today.

Wife sentenced for beating up husband
LUDHIANA, Nov 28 — Wife bashing is a common occurence but in a unique case, Mr Ashok Kumar, Judicial Magistrate (First Class), has sentenced Lakhbir Kaur to one-and-a-half-year imprisonment for beating up her husband, Rajinder Singh.
