PSEB told to pay for deficient services
LUDHIANA, Oct 12 — In a significant judgement, the District Consumer Redressal Forum has directed the Punjab State Electricity Board to pay a compensation of Rs 4000 for harassment caused to a consumer due to deficient services rendered by the board.

Defer recovery of farmers’ loans: Barnala
LUDHIANA, Oct 12 — Mr Surjit Singh Barnala, former Union Food Minister, today urged the Punjab Government to defer the recovery of loans given to farmers by the cooperative societies in the wake of losses in the ongoing paddy procurement.
