13 kids die in disco stampede
DURBAN, March 25 (PTI) —Thirteen school Children of Indian origin were killed and 44 injured, some of them seriously, when a tear gas canister triggered a stampede at a crowded discotheque here, the police said. The Throb Nightclub, situated in the mainly-Indian colony of Chatsworth, was packed with more than 1,000 children who were celebrating the end of their school term yesterday, when one of them released a tear gas canister creating a chaos, police spokesman Bala Naidoo said.

Vajpayee’s visit
NEW DELHI, March 25 (PTI) — Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee is planning to visit Washington around September 6, National Security Advisor Brajesh Mishra said tonight. Mr Vajpayee is planning to visit Washington around September 6 and 7 when he is expected to attend the UN millennium summit, Mr Mishra told the Zee News channel’s programme “Prime Time”, a channel press note said here.
