NEW DELHI: Faced with the daunting task of getting back black money stashed abroad, the government on Saturday said it was having a relook at some of the bilateral tax treaties signed with foreign countries that may be hindering the repatriation of the money.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today arrested Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Srinjoy Bose for his alleged involvement in the multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam. The central agency also quizzed TMC minister Shyamapada Mukherjee and former TMC MP Somen Mitra (now in the Congress).

LPG subsidy for rich may go, says Jaitley
New Delhi, November 21
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today indicated that the next reform agenda of the government will be to rationalise the LPG subsidy so that it is targeted and not available for the rich. Jaitley indicated that the government was considering doing away with the LPG subsidy for the well-off. "The next important decision India will have to take is whether people like me are entitled to get our LPG subsidy," he said at an event in New Delhi.
