Evasive 'godman' produced before HC, sent to judicial custody
CHANDIGARH: A day after his arrest, evasive 'godman' Rampal was on Thursday produced before the Punjab and Haryana High Court in a contempt of court case and was sent to judicial custody.

PANCHKULA: Arrested controversial 'godman' Rampal on Thursday rejected charges that he had asked thousands of his followers to be kept "hostage" for past several days inside his ashram at Barwala to evade police action in a court case.

Barwala (Hisar), November 19
A day after launching “Operation Rampal”, the Haryana police finally arrested the elusive sect head from his fortified Satlok Ashram at Barwala late this evening. At least six persons lost their lives in the stand-off, while a key aide and at least 492 supporters were also arrested.

Rampal is in good health, say followers
Hisar, November 19
The self-styled godman Rampal is apparently in good health and even “blessed” his followers on November 9. This was revealed by his two followers, who have been admitted to the Hisar civil hospital after sustaining injuries during a clash with the police yesterday.

Ebola alarm: Govt gets cracking, sets up special panel
New Delhi, November 19
The government today formed a three-member committee to inspect Ebola virus preparedness efforts at airports. The decision was taken at an inter-ministerial meeting chaired by Health Minister JP Nadda following an Indian cured of Ebola during his Liberia trip reporting traces of the virus in his semen.
