19 die as train derails in M’rashtra 
Mumbai, May 4
At least 19 persons were killed and 132 injured when the engine and four coaches of the Diva-Sawantwadi passenger train derailed between Nagothane and Roha railway stations, around 120 km from Mumbai, this morning.

Mother dies to save infants’ honour Jalandhar, May 4 A 30-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide in Jalandhar yesterday so that her eight-month-old twins, Noor (daughter) and Dilaawar (son), could live with honour. In a suicide note, Jaspreet (not her real name) alleged that her father’s sister Davinder Kaur, her husband Gurmej Singh (a Head Constable with the Punjab Police) and their son Amritpal had been blackmailing her using an MMS clip.
