Malaysian plane crashed off Vietnam coast
KUALA LUMPUR: A Beijing-bound Malaysian Airlines plane that went missing with 239 people on board, including five Indians, today crashed into waters off Vietnam's southern Phu Quoc Island, Vietnamese media reported.

KATHMANDU: The rear landing gear of an Indigo Airlines aircraft caught fire after landing at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport Saturday afternoon, airport officials said, adding all the passengers on board were evacuated safely.

Faced with the toughest elections ever, the Congress is banking on its trusted lieutenants to win back the Lok Sabha constituencies it currently holds. The party leadership, it seems, is wary of experimenting in the seats where it has sitting MPs. The party’s Central Election Committee headed by Congress president Sonia Gandhi today approved the names of seven Lok Sabha candidates, including five sitting MPs, in Haryana. Haryana has 10 Lok Sabha seats of which the Congress holds nine.

Navy takes a hit again; Commander dies in gas leak aboard INS Kolkata
Mumbai/New Delhi, March 7
A Commander (Lt Col equivalent) of the Navy died in an accident on board under-trial Kolkata-class warship INS Kolkata today while four civilian employees of the Mazagon Docks Limited were injured.
