The BJP on Monday attacked Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh alleging he acted in conflict of interest by obtaining benefits for himself and his family members from a businessman his government favoured by giving him more time to execute a hydel project. 

Two Brigadier-rank officers booked for harassing junior

Six Army officers, including two of Brigadier rank, have been booked by the Ajmer Police for allegedly harassing a lieutenant colonel and trying to prove him mentally ill after he raised his voice against certain irregularities.

The mercury went into a free fall in North India with temperatures hitting a new low in Delhi, while Srinagar experiencing its coldest night of the season.
The National Capital recorded its lowest minimum in a decade for December with the mercury dipping to 2.4 °C this morning, five degrees below normal.
