Setback for Admn

The UT Administration, which is already facing a shortage of officials, suffered a setback when the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued transfer orders of two UT cadre IAS officers - Tanvi Garg and Rodney L Ralte. The MHA has transferred both the officials to Mizoram.

Fraud case: Bank officials under police radar

In the case of fraud involving crores of rupees, in which a local industrialist, Sushil Sharma, and his kin were booked recently, the police today carried out the investigations at the Mani Majra branch of Punjab and Sind Bank.
