BJP divided over CM candidature
New Delhi, September 14 This issue was recently discussed in the central BJP that had reportedly received complaints about the functioning of the Delhi BJP chief, Vijay Goel. State senior party leaders did not favour Goel's name for the CM’s post. A few weeks ago, the name of former Health and Education Minister Dr Harshvardhan figured for CM's position. But the news was later denied by the state election in charge, Nitin Gadkari, who reportedly directed the state leaders to work in coordination. The party now holds joint press conferences and has given a slogan - "Win Delhi, win India". However, the senior leaders just attend the conferences and do not stay in the party office, giving the message that the differences among them have persisted. |
