Patna, June 15 (ANI): Reacting over Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s pinching remark about BJP, “Dua dete hai jeene ki, dawa karte hai marne ki”, BJP national secretary and MLA from Nokha in Rohtas district, Rameshwar Chaurasia on Saturday stated that BJP is a party which gives good wishes to everyone, gives remedies, but never betrays anyone.
NDA rift deepens, JD (U) prepares to pull the plug
New Delhi/ Patna, June 15 (ANI): Ahead of its weekend review, the JD (U) today held a meeting of its party top brass and if the reactions of its leaders are to go by, a split between JD (U) and BJP is imminent. The BJP also seemed in no mood to bend down. State NDA convenor Nand Kishore Yadav and deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Saturday refused to meet chief minister Nitish Kumar. Shahnawaz Hussain, spokesperson of BJP said that they hope whatever decisions the JD (U) takes is in national interest.
TRS calls for Telangana bandh today
Andhra Pradesh, June 15 (ANI): A day after the 'Chalo Assembly' agitation, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has called for a Telangana bandh on Saturday in protest against the arrest of its workers. Protesters and leaders alleged that the state government had resorted to repressive measures to put down the Telangana agitation of Friday and therefore the shutdown was being observed. The Pro-Telangana parties' march to the Andhra Pradesh assembly was foiled on Friday by the police who arrested around 1400 activists, including senior leaders of TRS and BJP, and blocked all roads leading to the legislature building.
