Doctors leave GMCH ailing
Chandigarh, March 3
In a bid to explore opportunities to work in prestigious institutions like AIIMS or to practise abroad, a number of doctors have left the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32. During the past six months, five consultants (assistant professors) have left the hospital from three departments, while three more are in the process of joining other institutions in Raipur, Bhubaneswar and Patna.

The Mohali police today arrested Jaswinder Singh, son of a Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) member, for his alleged involvement in the murder case of a lawyer.
2 J&K men held with detonators

A joint team of the CRPF and the UT police today arrested two persons, hailing from Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir, from the Inter-State Bus Terminus

RLA to issue licence on same day

Ignore survey reports which are arbitrary: National commission

In a landmark judgment, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, New Delhi, has upheld the orders of the UT State Commission holding that "in cases, where survey reports are arbitrary, unjustified or mala fide and the method adopted for the assessment of loss is totally unjustifiable, such reports should be ignored."
