The 102 Punjab politicians who had entered into a deal with Tata Housing Development Company (THDC) to build the controversial Camelot high-rise housing project in Mohali district may claim to be “innocent” beneficiaries, but the Income Tax Department seems to disagree.

Airfares dip by 25 pc after DGCA cracks the whip
New Delhi, December 5
Domestic airlines have lowered overall airfares 20-25 per cent after the Civil Aviation Ministry and the DGCA cracked the whip on them for charging very exorbitant prices in the last few weeks. However, ticket prices are yet to return to the average levels that prevailed during the same period last year.

Having lost the battle for export of honey and grapes to Europe because of alleged high pesticide content in them, the government is joining hands with All India Rice Exporters Association to ensure that the basmati rice does not meet the same fate in the prestigious European market.

India may allow Pakistan access to 26/11 witnesses
New Delhi, December 5
India may allow a Pakistani commission to travel here to interview key witnesses and other officials in connection with the trial of seven Pakistani suspects in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks’ case. Sources said Pakistan would be informed of India's stand on the issue once the government got the view of the Bombay High Court on it, possibly next week.
