Two persons were seriously injured in firing that took place at Raikot this afternoon. The incident took place near Kacha Kila when a few persons sitting in a Scorpio, following a Ford Icon car (PB 10 BN 1148), fired at the occupants of the car.

The enforcement wing of the Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) conducted raids on two ice factories in the Haibowal area who were caught stealing power and also consuming unauthorised load.

Ayurvedic office staff not paid salary

More than 125 employees working at the District Ayurvedic and Unani Office here and 40 dispensaries in the district failed to get salary for August following the transfer of the drawing and disbursing authority (DDA) and the district Ayurvedic and Unani officer (DAUO).
