Punjab sends no-objection letter to Centre

The administration has objected to the wrong location of bus-queue shelters that have been allowed on the built-operate-transfer (BOT) basis. Instead of putting up the bus-queue shelters for the convenience of passengers, these have been purposely positioned to benefit advertisers, the UT’s local self-government department has pointed it out.

GMSH-16 to outsource MRI facility
Chandigarh, August 26
To provide all diagnostic facilities under one roof, Government Multi-Speciality Hospital, Sector 16, has planned to outsource magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) facility here. Currently, the GMSH-16 has no MRI facility, forcing patients to go to private clinics.

Amartex robbers held; Rs 13.25 lakh recovered

The Panchkula police today solved the Amartex robbery by recovering Rs 13.25 lakh after the arrest of three accused. Four employees, including an assistant manager of Amartex Industries, allegedly looted Rs 17 lakh from the showroom of the company in Industrial Area here on August 16.
