Rainfall: Rain, thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at many places in Punjab, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Nilokheri 2, Himachal Pradesh: Arki, Kangra and Nalagarh 5 each, Guler 4, Barsar, Kasol, Nahan and Pandoh 3 each, Bhuntar, Berthin, Kahu, Shimla, Solan, Sundernagar and Sunibhaji 2 each and Nadaun 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal 3, Punjab: Jallandhar and Nangal 3 each and Balachaur and Ludhiana 1 each and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, fell in Haryana, Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, above normal in Punjab, appreciably below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 46.6° C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 11: Rain, thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Isolated duststorm, thunderstorm is likely in the rest of the region. Isolated thundersqualls are likely in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 11: Partly cloudy sky with dust haze. Duststorm, thunderstorm accompanied with squall likely in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 40° C.
