Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures changed little. Departure: This was appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 6.6° C recorded at Ludhiana (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 9: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely in Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 9: Partly cloudy sky. Mist in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 9°C.
