Sensex closes above 10,000 points

Mumbai, February 7
The markets continued to roll on a high today as rampaging bulls pushed Sensex to close above the magical 10,000 mark for the first time. The markets ended the day at 10,082 levels.

In the broader markets, Nifty closed 19 points higher at 3020 levels. Today’s gainers were led by Tata Motors, which closed 3.7 per cent higher. The others which clocked gains today included HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Cipla, Maruti Udyog and ITC Limited. — TNS
