Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at many places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperature rose in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were below normal in west Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.2°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 25, 2005: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 25, 2005: Partly cloudy sky. Fog till forenoon. The minimum temperature will be around 6°C.
