Man crushed to death
Ludhiana, November 10

A 27-year-old man was crushed to death by a bus on the Pakhowal Road when he was going to his office on the Rahon Road today. The deceased, Deepak, was driving a motorcycle when he was hit by a bus from behind.

The Orchestra Association, Ludhiana, has condemned the incident in which two dance girls were injured by a member of a marriage party. The accused person had allegedly fired at them during a marriage ceremony at Samrala yesterday.

Three injured in property dispute

Three persons were injured in a property dispute in Ikolaha village on Wednesday. The injured were admitted in Sidhu Hospital, Doraha. The police has registered a case against seven persons, including two women, at the Sadar police station, Khanna.

Rs 1 lakh grant for SD College

Ludhiana, November 10

AIDS awareness caravan reaches city

An AIDS awareness caravan sponsored by the Punjab State Aids Control Society to propagate the message of prevention against the dreaded disease, arrived at the Civil Hospital here today. The caravan comprising five trucks, and depicting precautionary steps against AIDS was flagged off on October 31.
