Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at many places in west Rajasthan and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Haryana: New Delhi (Safdarjung), Chandigarh and Delhi Ridge 6 each, Ambala Ayanagar and New Delhi (Palam) 5 each, Kalka 3, Naraingarh and Panchkula 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Kasol 16, Pandoh 9, Sundernagar 8, Nahan 7, Rampurbushahar 5, Sunibhaji 3, Kahu, Sujanpur and Shimla 2 each and Bhuntar and Nagrotasurian 1 each, East Rajasthan: Sakkargarh 12, Bhainsroadgarh 11, Begu, Hamirgarh and Kachalo 10 each, Masuda 9, Bewar, Kotri, Kapatan and Vijayanagar 8 each, Bhilwara, Mandal, Rupayali, Sambugarh and Sarara 7 each, Bagod, Badesar, Gangrar, Jawaja, Hurda and Sangod 6 each, Banera, Hindoli, Mandana, Madidalgarh, Paroli and Shahpura 5 each, Anta, Binay, Bundi, Dabla, Kareda and Nimbahera 4 each and Atru, Bhungra, Bhim, Bijoliya, Badnore, Degod, Dhariawar, Kishanganj, Karoikala and Philia 3 each, West Rajasthan: Jaitaran and Raipur 5 each, Bilara, Balotra and Rohat 3 each, Bagoda, Bhinmal, Bali, Gadra road, Jodhpur and Sayala 2 each and, Chotan, Raniwara, Sedwa and Sumerpur 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Bhinga 18, Bahraich, Basti FM 6, Birdghat 5, Chandradeepghat, Gorakhpur, Sultanpur and Shardanagar 4 each, Elginbridge 3, Varanasi AP 2 and Neemsar and Raebareilly 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly P 27, Bareilly FM 21, Hindon and Narora 7 each, Dabri 6, Ankinghat and Gomatia 3 each and Auriya and Sarsawa 1 each and Uttaranchal: Srinagar 24, Kalagarh and Pantnagar 17 each, Marora 9, Haridwar 7, Rishikesh 6, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi 5 each, Banbasa 4, Dehradun FM 3 and Dehradun and Joshimath 2 each. Scattered heavy rain with isolated, very heavy falls are likely in east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours. Isolated heavy rain is also likely in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab during the same period. Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 19: Generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain/thundershowers.
