Transfer DC, EC directs Haryana Govt

Rohtak, September 17
The Election Commission of India has directed the Haryana Government to immediately transfer the Deputy Commissioner of Rohtak, Mr Rakesh Gupta, for the allegedly violation of the model code of conduct.

Mr Gupta in his capacity as Deputy Commissioner, is also the Returning Officer of the Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency, which is scheduled for a by election on September 28. — TNS
