had In 2003 the biological parents of Dimple came to know that her (Dimple’s) marriage was being arranged with a Christian boy and they reportedly asked her to marry with a Jat Sikh boy. However, Dimple did not agree to this. Harbans Kaur had also taken Dimple to Gorakhpur in Dr Karanjia absence. The matter was later reported to the police by Dr Karanjia but after a period of 25 days Dimple’s parents left her at Dr Karanjia house. Dr Karanjia had warned Dimple’s parents not to visit her residence in her absence but they did not pay heed to this and kept on visiting her. Dr Karanjia had also served a legal notice on the biological parents of Dimple. But, they did not reply. In her suit, Dimple has demanded a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for her education, medical facilities, treatment and care. She has also demanded Rs 5 lakh more as marriage expenses. |
