Sam Pitroda to get Tilak
award
New Delhi, July 19
Sam Pitroda, who ushered in a telecommunication revolution in the country, has been selected for the Lokmanya Tilak Award 2005.
He will receive the award on August 1, the 85th death anniversary of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar
Tilak. Instituted by the Lokmanya Tilak Smarak Trust in Pune, the award consists of Rs 1 lakh in cash, a gold medal, a memento and the citation.
