Houses can be sold floor-wise
1995 Punjab Act comes into force
Mohali, June 30
After 10 years of its formulation, the Punjab Government has finally implemented the Punjab Apartment Ownership Act, 1995. The Act allows property owners in the state to sell their real estate on a floor-wise basis. This means different persons can own different floors of a single commercial or residential unit.

Defence deals’ probe: CBI seeks original documents

Even as the CBI is all set to move the designated CBI Court here soon for the issuance of Letter Rogatory (LR) for South Africa in connection with the Denel guns deal, it has got struck in the cases pertaining to several defence deals by the previous NDA government during “Operation Vijay”, handed over to it by the Ministry of Defence for probe, for want of specific complaints.

Govt allows FDI in FM radio sector

The Cabinet today approved the proposal to allow 20 per cent foreign direct investment
in the private FM radio sector and decided on a revenue share regime against the existing licence fee structure to allow a total of 330 stations in 90 cities.

Jammu Mail speed increased

The Northern Railway timetable which comes into effect from tomorrow is passenger friendly.
Apart from increasing the speed of 28 Mail/Express trains and eight
passenger trains, the timetable incorporates introduction of two pairs
of Mail/Express trains, six pairs of passenger services, extension of 10
Mail/Express trains and enhancement in the frequency of six pairs of
trains.
