Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab and west Rajasthan, below normal in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 33.1°C recorded at Rawatbhata (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Punjab and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, below normal in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 7.5°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of November 2: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
