In search of ‘lost’ Wazirabadis

In India for over a month, a group of three artistes from Wazirabad has been on a unique mission — that of using art to discover a link with persons displaced from Pakistan at the time of Partition. Their repertory is strong with pictures of ancestral houses in Wazirabad, most of which belonged to Hindus and Sikhs.

BJP ignoring true martyrs, says Pawan Bansal

Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal, Congress candidates for the local parliamentary seat, has charged the Bharatiya Janata Party with ignoring the true national martyrs. He said a portrait of Veer Savarkar had been installed opposite that of Mahatma Gandhi. Shaheed Bhagat Singh had also been ignored.

7-year-old waits for parents

Walia, were present on the occasion.
