Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were largely above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, markedly above normal in Haryana and Punjab and appreciably above normal in Uttar Pradesh. The highest temperature in the region was 42.1°C, recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Haryana, Punjab and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and above normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.0°C, recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 22: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 22: Mainly clear sky. Strong surface winds likely during day time. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 35°C and 1°C, respectively.
